Does Police Health cover mouth guards?

Yes, they're covered under our dental cover. However, they must be issued by a registered dentist. 

There's a limit of 1 mouth guard per person, per calendar year. For more information about how much you can claim, see our state premium and benefits guides. 

Mouth guards that are purchased from retail or online suppliers and heat-moulded at home are not eligible for claims. 

This is because they are not custom-made using a dental model and are not supplied by a registered dentist.
