Police Health is a restricted access health insurer primarily for current employees of a State, Territory or Federal police department, service or association.
All former employees of South Australia Police are able to join Police Health, as are former employees of other police services or associations who resigned or retired after 1 January 2001.
Of those eligible to join as described above, the following are also able to join:- their partners (spouse or defacto), their former partners, their dependent children and their adult children (as well as partners and dependent children of these adult children) are also able to join and be insured by Police Health.

Who
can be covered by my Police Health policy?
Once eligible to join Police Health, you may choose from the following types of policy
Single Policy – just yourself.
Family Policy – yourself, partner and all your children until they reach 21 years, or 25 if they are full-time students. Police Health Platinum Plus covers all children until they reach 25. Children who are married or in a defacto relationship are not covered.
Single Parent Family Policy – yourself and all your children as described above.
