 Travel Insurance

Before travelling interstate or overseas, one of the most important things that needs to be considered is travel insurance.

Police Health members are now able to access, through Police Health’s website, a range of travel insurance policies issued by CGU Insurance Limited.

CGU’s travel insurance policies are designed to meet the needs of personal travellers during trips of up to 12 months, both overseas and within Australia. These travel insurance policies must be purchased prior to departure. Subject to the terms of the policies, they include cover for:

  • Overseas Medical, Dental and Additional Expenses
  • Cancellation
  • Resumption of Overseas Journey
  • Return of Car Hire and Excess Waiver
  • Luggage and Travel Documents

Plus, members receive FREE access to CGU’s 24-hour emergency telephone assistance service, which operates every day of the year and is provided by International SOS. Advice and support with problems ranging from lost or stolen luggage to full-scale medical emergencies are only a phone call away.

Additionally Police Health members receive a discount off CGU’s standard rates.

Please click here to download a copy of the CGU Travel Insurance product disclosure statement and policy booklet that outlines the different levels of cover.

  • You are 70 years or older, or
  • You have 21 to 24 year old full time student dependants travelling
