Police Health
was originally created exclusively for the benefit of South Australian
police employees and their families back in 1935, but has now expanded
to embrace the health insurance needs of police in the Northern
Territory. It is the only police-based fund in Australia and, because
it is a not-for-profit fund operating exclusively for the benefit
of police, it maintains a single-minded focus on meeting your needs.
Police Health
has built an excellent reputation for providing very high quality,
value-for-money private health cover. A measure of its stature within
the South Australian police community is that around 90% of serving
police officers are members. The Fund is very stable because, once
they choose to become members, police rarely leave it.
The Fund is managed by a small team of health insurance professionals
with vast experience in the private health insurance industry. This
team works under the direction of its own Board of Directors consisting
mainly of police, so the Fund is guided by people who know, understand
and care about their fellow police.
