Current Directors of Police Health are:
| Peter Shanahan (Chairman) |
Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Shanahan joined SAPOL in 1975 and has been a member of the Police Health Board since 1995.
"Police Health is part of the policing family that includes Police Unions, Legacy and all of those other dedicated services that look after the people in our unique industry. Policing is a people focused industry and I am of the belief that there is social obligation on organisations to care for individuals, particularly in their times of need. My commitment to our policy holders is to provide them with the best health insurance money can buy. In order to ensure this, Police Health must connect with its members at a personal level so that their needs are identified and met. When I joined the Board in 1995 Police Health had served me very well for 20 years. It was time to give something back and I hoped that my legal training would be able to contribute to the effective running of a highly successful and family friendly fund." |

Kevin Lawton (Vice Chairman)
Governance Committee - chair |
Senior Sergeant Kevin Lawton has been an employee of SAPOL since 1985, he became a member of the Board in 1998.
"I have a keen interest in the business operations, financial management and human resources related issues of Police Health. I am especially interested in government legislation and regulation relating to the health industry, for example Lifetime Health Cover and the 30% rebate. I feel these have a direct impact on an individual's attitude toward private health insurance, which in turn influences membership growth. I nominated for the Board because I have a genuine concern for the welfare of fellow police officers, public servants and retired members." |

I am keen to assist in maintaining the solid governance, rigorous financial management and growth of the fund to strengthen member services. This is an exciting time for the fund and I look forward to assisting the fund to grow whilst continuing to provide value for money coupled with a strong service ethos to members." |

"As a Board member, the key issue for me is promoting to our broader policing community and their families the benefits of private health insurance in general and membership of Police Health in particular. This is fundamental to maintaining a strong and growing core membership of families connected with policing. I have a keen interest in ensuring balance on the Board by providing a voice to represent the family membership of the Fund. My key focus is on ensuring that the Fund gives the best possible service to all its members." |
